Physico-Chemical Analysis
AquaCheck AC2000
Essential water quality parameters such as pH, conductivity, TDS, dissolved oxygen and ORP are evaluated to assess water, in terms of suitability for human consumption and to determine wastewater treatment efficiency. Water samples collected for the purpose of quality testing become unstable when removed from source, which means rapid testing is essential for accuracy. On site testing therefore boasts advantages over main laboratory tests where timing is crucial. The solution to this is fully portable and adaptable instruments that return results comparable with laboratory methods, that Environmental engineers can rely on. The AquaCheck Multiparameter Water Quality meter is a high-quality modern test instrument that is intuitive to use, and with a wide range of traditional and ISE sensors available, means the AC2000 has the versatility to suit your testing requirements.
AquaPro AP2000
The AquaPro is our next generation handheld instrument using improved 18 wavelength photometric technology. Our photometer can test water quality for more than 140 parameters, using it's large touchscreen display to guide you/the operator step-by-step through each test method.
The instrument is available as an engineer's kit, in an IP67 ruggedised carry case, with all the necessary accessories to perform testing in the field.
The AquaPro photometer is also included in our wider Trace2o® range of products, including the AquaSafe® Water Safety Laboratories range and HydroKit® Physicochemical range of portable test kits.
HTTURB
Turbidity, or cloudiness, has often been considered a superb first line indicator of water quality. Turbidity may be caused by growth of phytoplankton. Human activities that disturb land, such as construction, mining and agriculture, can lead to high sediment levels entering water bodies.. Erosion rates contribute large amounts of turbidity to nearby waters, and industries such as quarrying, mining and coal recovery can generate very high levels of turbidity from colloidal rock particles. High turbidity levels can reduce the amount of light reaching lower depths, which can inhibit growth of submerged aquatic plants, reducing oxygen levels. In drinking water, the higher the turbidity level, the higher the risk that people may develop gastrointestinal diseases. Suspended solids interfere with water disinfection with chlorine because the particles act as shields for the virus and bacteria. Similarly, suspended solids can protect bacteria from UV sterilisation of water. The HTTURB IR turbidity meter offers fast, precise on-site testing using the industry standard nephelometric method (scattered light at an angle of 90°). The wide range makes this a multi-purpose instrument for a variety of possible applications and the IR light source ensures suitability for both coloured and colourless liquids. The unit comes complete with calibration standards and accessories, packaged in a hard shell carry case.
HydroTest COD System
The HydroTest COD System HTCOD is designed for the determination of chemical oxygen demand index (COD) using the small-scale sealed-tube method. The industry standard dichromate method can be considered as an estimate of theoretical oxygen demand. With a wide measuring range from 0 – 15,000 mg/L O2, the HTCOD is ideal for waste water testing, offering a small handheld photometer with two LED light sources housed inside a waterproof sample chamber. The highly-sensitive equipment is compatible with mercury-free tube tests, with optional chloride compensation to remove interference, and utilises the popular photometric determination method. Standard solutions can be used to verify operation and accuracy of the instrument. The thermoreactor is compatible with other products in the HydroTest range, and can also be utilised for tube test digestion of TOC, total Chromium total Nitrogen and total Phosphate. The thermoreactor operates at three pre-set temperatures, with three pre-set reaction times, and offers automatic switch-off functionality with audible alarm.
